to blog or to facebook?

I notice that many people want to present their thoughts and/or share events and photos on the internet but find it easier to use a facebook page than start a blog. So I simply ask:

Haiti deprem ve haritaları

Bizim OSM’cular depremin olduğu günden 9 gün sonra inanılmaz dereceden güncel bir Haiti haritası çıkarmışlar! O işte açık kaynakkodunun gücüdür!

Haiti’nin ayrıntılı harita yok(tu). Arama kurtarma ekiplerin ilk yardım etmek için yabani bir ülkede ellinde güncel bir harita lazım. Şu anda bilmek gereken konular şunlar:

• Kamplar nerede kuruldu – yani insanlar hangi bölgede toplandı?
  Su ve yemek oraya dağıtılacak.
• Mezarlıklar nerede?
  100.000 ölü sayısı acilen toplu mezar ihtiyacı var…
• Hangi yollar geçilmez durumda?
• Hangi köprü çökmüş durumda?
• Hastanelerin yeri (enlem boylam) nerede? Cünkü adamların elinde bir GPS aygıt olabilir fakat güncel bir Port-au-Prince haritası yokken ne yapsın?

Oʻzbek Vikipedisi Oʻzbekistonda ban etilgan?

The Uzbek wikipedia seems to be blocked by Uzbekistan since 10th of January 2008. The administrator I asked said he did not know the reason being blocked.

I would like to get more information about the reason for blocking an encyclopedia by the Uzbekistan – so if anyone knows more about the issue he/she may post it here anonymously…

those damned Amis…

Those damned Amis do not understand a dime of the World! They seem to think they’re the police or army of the world. No one gave them the authority to do that kind of job!! NO ONE!!

They can only think with there weapons in their hand! They think the best in the world is the American Dollar, Hollywood, MacDonalds and Coca Cola and the rest of the world has to have it! They did NOT sign the Kyoto Protocol - they give a dime on what the rest of the world thinks.

And then they are suprised that something like 9-11 happened! They are so god-damned dangerous stupid!
