a word about wordpress…

…interesting idea – this wordpress blog system (I don’t like this term blog though) but it’s so slow! I have to click two three times to get it opened or saved…
Up to now I found the following plugins to be usefull (talking ’bout WP 2.1):
- WordPress Widgets ! … – and then:
- Contact Form ][
- Diagnosis
- Enforce www. Preference
- Explicit Category Sort
- FAQ
- Fold Category List
- Guestbook-Generator
- RC Discuss, a forum
It’ still not easy to have a multiple language blog run easily – I could not get polyglot to run for a turkish system… one has to learn about the .mo files and poedit to edit the corresponding .po source files for gettext… some themes do not use the .mo file at all… one has to mingle around too much in the sourcecode of a theme… mediawiki is easier but of course not so stylish
